I do a lot of writing, but it's not always something I like to share. I will, however, add more works here in the future.
Sith-Iddikus (A short experiment in Lovecraftian-style writing)
By Khanada
On
the narrow marble cut streets of Tarvis stood the noble Sith-Iddikus,
omniscient ruler of that peaceful land. Sith often pondered the night,
and found peace in his lovely country. The hiss of tiny insects hummed
deafeningly in his ears as he placed his bejeweled knuckles on his
thick hips and tilted his raven black covered head to gaze longingly
and skeptically at the vast expanse of stars.
They scattered out from the brilliant iris moon as if chipped from
its crystalline mass by delicate hands. But there was a strange luminescence
in the sky this night—especially over the face of the searing
moon. A smearing as if the sky were only painted on and had been wiped
too early before it finished drying. It was impossible to focus on
the typically sharp details of the moon’s craters.
Sith lowered his heavy brows and narrowed his eyes in a mild frown.
Only once in history had he ever heard of such an odd occurrence—in
the ancient tablet of Ivaris, before the entirely devastating attack
of the Vourolise dragons...
(Perhaps
someday I'll finish this into at least a short story. I'm absolutely
enthralled by Lovecraft, his wild imagination and astoundingly beautiful,
poetic writing style. When I'm reading him, my writing takes on a
whole new feel and direction. I like it best during those times of
Lovecraftian inspiration)
