Khanåda's Art Gallery
1980's - The Present

I've been doing art nearly all my life. Discovered I could draw when I was maybe 12. Since then, I have studied (BRIEFLY) taking Graphic Design and Fine Art classes at Jr. College. Then, I started getting work doing everything from screen printing designs to print ads to full-color publications and book covers. Now, I primarily do web sites, brochures, product labels and other odds-n-ends for my job.

In my spare time I really enjoy digital artwork. Painting with my Wacom tablet in Photoshop has been so satisfying! I also get a real kick out of playing with images in Photoshop, too. You can see some silliness in that regard by visiting our Fun With James page at JamesPurefoy.us. I frequently call Photoshop "my baby" though it is a little sad that digital art has overtaken my fine arts almost entirely. I still do some pencil work, occasionally, but I haven't done a painting or a real sculpture in many years. I plan to do more, someday... and I've been saying that for more than a few years, so who knows. :)

I hope you enjoy my little gallery. I'll be adding more work over time, but have chosen some of my favorite things to start it off. I haven't segregated art styles, but thrown it all in together, only specifying Fine Art, Digital Art, or Graphic Design in the titles. If you have any interest in hiring me to do freelance work for you, simply drop me an e-mail. ~K
